Now THIS is a neat idea!
Just got this in an email. One of the regulars in this email group wears a charm pin with numbers hanging on it that represent the number of our soldiers who have died in Iraq.

Here is her pin:

And she buys number charms to hang from it.

Here is a link she recommended. But I know you can buy these from Michaels or Hobby Lobby also.

I am going shopping tomorrow! :woohoo:

1. Very interesting.
You would be spending all your time changing the numbers and I fear that they are going to be increasing faster than you could change them pretty soon.

Still, that is a pretty cool way to make a statement.

4. I like it!
I also am going to do that toy soldier idea. Have you heard about that? A lady in Chicago started it. She took toy soldiers and put anti war messages on little pieces of paper and attached the messages to the soldiers. She leaves them wherever - in the grocery store, at restaurants, etc.

2. Those last two must be earlier designs.
God, I hope there won't be any need for one with five loops.

Bring 'em home.

10. The shovel is a bit gravedigger-ish
And would only work for monthly totals, given it only has three loops on it, if things keep on the way they have.

They oughta come up with an international symbol of distress/upside down US flag, with the loops on it. That would piss off the tighty-righties...
