I'm looking around for decent Bank info - (I've maxed my credit union savings account) and haven't found a lot of National choice.

I switched to a credit union after I found out that the bank I was sever ly Rethug friendly. So I had to chance to switch to a credit union and I did. I have never looked back since. Credit unions rock!

18. Tx for the info. Figures differ between Open Secrets and Buy Blue,
maybe because of period covered for donations.

Do you know... is Deutsche Bank No Am the same bank as ING? I was trying to check out ING when I went to Buy Blue but they didn't have anything on them.

6. Is it just a credit card you are looking for?
If so, this one is supposed to be good though I don't have it myself:

http://www.workingassets.com/creditcard.cfm

If you need full service and are looking for something additional to a credit union account, I would look into local, smaller banks rather than national ones.

just savings options.

8. Bank of America is horrible. But I have accounts all over the country
and when I need to move funds, it's done in hours and not weeks like other banks. I am stuck with them.

9. I like Bank of America
This is only my experience. As a small businesswoman, they have been super helpful, always courteous and nice to me. I've dealt with mostly female officers too. The online banking is free and top notch as far as safety and software is concerned. They would have to do something really awful for me to change.

I hope my Republican clients don't judge me by my political affiliation. I think they come to me because I am good at what I do. However, I don't shop at Walmart and I'll never by a Dell..lol so I guess I'm a hypocrite. :-)

Good luck on your search.

13. Can you find another credit union?
All I can say is avoid 5th/3rd like the plague. They are scum.
I deal with my credit union, and will never have enough money to max out. If I did, I'd probably go with Comerica, just because they have been good to Detroit, for the most part.

20. Hadn't thought of that - Small state here and most credit unions are
exclusive in membership but I"ll look around. Good thought.

I've always found credit unions to be much more customer-friendly and they tend to charge lower fees, too.
