The "have mores" were out in force when Bush made a stop in Cincy to raise money for Sen. DeWine. You see, folks, it matters not what the majority of Americans may think -- it's all about the few who control the vast majority of wealth in this country. That's why poll numbers don't mean squat.

President Bush was on the ground in Cincinnati less than three hours Thursday, but his presence at a fundraiser in an Indian Hill home put $1.1 million in the campaign account of Sen. Mike DeWine.

Bush spent about 1½ hours at the home of Mark and Margie Hauser on a quiet Indian Hill cul-de-sac late Thursday afternoon to boost the campaign of DeWine, a Republican senator who sometimes parts ways with the Bush administration, but who was grateful for the president's help.

"Believe me, I was very happy to see him come in for me," DeWine told The Enquirer after Air Force One left Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport about 7 p.m. "It was a great event, a huge boost to our campaign."

About 250 DeWine supporters - a who's who of Cincinnati corporate executives, Republican elected officials, and DeWine campaign leaders - paid $2,100 each and $4,200 per couple for a chance to shake hands with the president and listen to a speech that lasted at least a half-hour, according to attendees....

1. What I'd do
is get a list of these donors and look very carefully at who they represent. If their businesses have been given favorable treatment, I'd point it out in flyers and on billboards, with the words, "Who will DeWine represent in the Senate?"
