Democrats need their own "Contract for America"
Remember how back in the 90s, when the gophers came out with their "Contract for America" (Contract on America, more like it)? Remember how they promised a breath of fresh air and to "take back" Congress for the people?

If there was ever a time for the Democrats to do something like this, now is the perfect time!

4. I agree -but I can not seem to find the button to push to get the Dems off
of their asses.

They are so afraid of taking a "wrong" position.

5. Call it : The Plan to Restore America
Promise to restore America's rights and values, eg.. Right to Privacy, Freedom of Speech, Religion, Right to Assemble, etc.

Promise to keep America out of unnecessary wars.

Promise to end the Republican Culture of Corruption.

Promise to fix voting.

Promise to restore the freedom of the press.

Promise to end the destruction of the National Parks, restore worker safety, clean up the environment, and add a tax penalty on companies that outsource.

7. Restoring America sounds so much better
I still get a bad taste in my mouth when I hear America and contract in the same breath.
Remember when America was loved by the world?

Remember when America was a true leader in the world?

Remember when America health, and educational systems were tops in the world?
Let's restore America starting this November.

8. I suggest one tweak: The Covenant to Restore America
Covenant has all the connotations of a sacred promise, as well as a "we're all in this together" feel to it.

6. Contract or No Conctract, Dems Need Backbone - IMHO
What democrats need more than anything is "STEEL" backbone and more consistent "SUPPORT" for the ones that speak up against the shenanigans that are prevalent in this administration and the warped-minded rethuglican party. Even with a "contract", if democrats keep being wobbly in the knees, they will still turn people off if they are not consistent and determined to fight proudly and courageously for their principles.
