6. the pix have to uploaded to a website before you can post them

they have to be "hosted" somewhere - a good free
site for this is www.photobucket.com

then you copy the URL of the photo whereever it is hosted, and
paste that into your post. here at DU no code is required to
post a pic, DU adds the code automatically. but if you were at
some other site, you would have to add the code:

7. You need to get an online photo place

I use www.photobucket.com . To post a pic online, it has to be on a server somewhere and not on your computer only. If you get an account at photobucket, you can then post your pics in the threads here. I just uploaded that pic so I can post it now here -



It's a great tool and there are several photo hosting places out there, but I use photobucket.

8. right click mouse over picture, goto properties

then copy address that is listed under properties.

When posting a message here at DU take the copied picture address and right click and paste address/properties in here and picture should display.
