KFC plants hidden secret in new TV commercial
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Psstt. KFC wants to share a secret. No, not that secret.

Colonel Sanders’ herbs-and-spices recipe for Kentucky Fried Chicken is still safely locked away, but the chain unveiled a new TV ad Thursday that allows viewers to crack a hidden message if they play the spot back slowly on a digital video recorder or VCR.

The gimmick is aimed at countering the rise of technology that enables television viewers to skip past commercials faster than ever before.

I think it was Judas Priest, was being sued by a dead teens parents over the "satanic" messages in the backwards version.....guy from the band said something like, if we were going to plant subliminal messages it wouldn't be 'Hail Satan!!" it would be "buy 12 more albums....buy 12 more albums"

I remember that. Can't remember who it was, though. JP or Iron Maiden, most likely.

I still remember when Motley Crue volunteered to label their albums and sold even more copies.

I'm old enough to remember some parents having shit fits because backwards messages on LPs were gonna turn their kids into satanic pot heads. Cover art, too. I remember seeing one minister's listing of satanic symbols on album covers. One of the most absurd examples was the globe pictured on one band's album -- the globe was supposedly the symbol of Satan's earthly realm. Basically they could turn ANY language or image into a satanic message. In spite of the internet I haven't heard too much of that stuff lately.

53. If I have to do all that, how is the message to worship Satan getting thru
Isn't that what all these "messages" are supposed to do? Somehow the mind is supposed to take some garbled, backwards lyrics open to subjective interpretation and interpret them subconsciously as orders to commit suicide or worship the devil. But if we play the record backwards, in a studio, with digital equipment, and special headphones, and god only knows what else, we can pretty much be fairly sure that we have evil messages tucked in the music. I would rather Christians take care of the poor, needy and suffering in the country--as Luke's Jesus demands--instead of playing songs backwards to hear secret occult messages that may or may not be there.

31. Just what is the hidden message?
I don't watch much TV and I wouldn't pay to eat their food, even though the Colonel was a good soul.

He used to like to do quirky things like drive his own limousine ( a white Rolls Royce), the black driver would sit in back. They'd pull up to where they were going and the Colonel would get out and open the door for his driver. Down south in the sixties that was a real act of defiance. He also used to go to Cherokee park in Louisville and bring free chicken for the hippies who hung out there. He might have had his dark side, but over all he seemed like a good guy.

If you give a damn about simple decency - If you think what you are eating is clean, you need to see this. It is a Christian site but it gives brutally accurate and well documented insight into where your "food" is coming from, it's inhumane slaughter and waste and the filthy underworld selling you poison with a smile.
