New Rasmussen Poll: Dems Favored Over Bush On National Security
Everyone has been saying the politics of the Dubai Ports World deal is bad news for President Bush. Well, now we have an idea of just how bad. Rasmussen Reports has just released a poll showing that Americans now trust Democrats in Congress more than President Bush on the issue of national security by a margin of 43% to 41%. Only 17% of those polled favor the DPW deal, 64% oppose.

And this is a Rasmussen poll.

2. It's their last real hope.
Hating queers and keeping women down won't win elections for the Goopers; security issues will.

4. Now, THAT'S great news!

And it's a mess that the Bush administration (and the GOP) are now STUCK with, no matter how this all plays out.

If the deal goes ahead, the Repubs will feel betrayed by the party and the WH that promised to 'keep them safe'.

If Bush backs down from the deal in the face of all the controversy it has stirred up, the GOP will be seen as the party who was ready to sell out our national security, and was only stopped from doing so by the outrage of the citizenry.

Another lose/lose scenario for the Grand Ol' Party!!!!!

6. WHAT TOOK SO LONG!
Sorry to yell.

We knew it would come, it always happens that they overstep but damn, it seems there has been so much that this would have happened a looooong time ago.

Whatever it takes. If this is it then I will happily accept it.

7. I HEAR YA!!!
And I agree; what DID take so long?

But this is all turning into the perfect storm. One of the strengths of this corrupt administration has been their ability to spin each new accusation as it comes up - but NOW there are just TOO MANY chickens coming home to roost for them shoo them all away.

The Abramoff scandal, PlameGate, the Cheney shooting incident, the memos about Rummy gathering intel on Iraq within hours of the 9/11 attacks, more election fraud dirt coming out, Iraq spiralling into civil war ... and NOW THIS PORTS DEAL!!!

Batten down the hatches, Bush - she's gonna BLOW!!!!!!

8. And anybody that backs * on this has to be asking themselves
this question.

If a dirty bomb goes off in one of these ports, will they shoot me or take the time to hang me?

5. His only "strong" point has been eroded......
Americans have given bush positive marks in only one category: the "war on terra". Now he can't even hold onto that, and deservedly so. He's put our country in a MUCH riskier position that we were before, or anytime after, 9/11.
You're history, asswipe! It's only a matter of time before even his most staunch supporters demand his removal from office. It's all over but the lying for you, georgie. NOBODY likes you any more, you're a festering boil on the ass of America. GO AWAY!
