Wow, Carville and Begala are really working hard for Hillary |
|
Just got another e-mail from James Carville explaing that Hillary needs our help and to pledge month by month monetary support. Apparently, he has a bet going with Begala who could recruit more members to the cause. Oh, and the name of the cause is "TeamHillary". Oddly enough, they never really explain why she needs this money and support, just that she is "in for a fight".
They keep this up, my spam filter may start flagging them for deletion with these types of tactics.

It is for her Senate campaign, which she is almost certainly firmly in control of. I still don't see why they are fundraising so much for her - other than to have a large warchest for 2008.

4. I don't see why you're surprised... |
|
both Carville and Begala worked for Bill Clinton, both in his initial campaign for president and in his White House, and both have had ties to the Clintons ever since. So, why be shocked by their shilling for Hillary now?

Not really the association, but the method |
|
I know they have a long-standing business relationship, however, they are bombarding national mailing lists that many people didn't sign up for soliciting donations.
Here's the issue for me. Hillary is basically assured of a cakewalk in her run this year, so why the massive effort for fundraising? Is it for the 2008 run? I would at least like to know before I donate how and where my money is being spent and to what end.

7. Obviously, you didn't bother to read my posts |
|
My concern was not with their solicitation but rather, why? Why throw money into a race that is almost certainly a lock when there are other more needy campaigns that could use our support? Is Hillary going to share the wealth or is she going to bank it until 2008?
Legitimate questions, not a slam on Hillary as you might have thought.
