I was in a political discussion with a man on the trolley today. |
|
Then the man sitting next to him joined in. Soon other people, of all genders and races, in the adjacent seats joined in. After a while there was probably about 15 of us discussing politics, the war, bu$h/Cheney... It even got loud. But you know something. ALL of those in the group were against bu$h, the war, the selling of the ports and the media. ALL of us! And while we were rapping I could see others looking at us nodding in approval. This is in RED San Diego too. The tide is turning my friends. People are getting angry and tired of being fed bullshit! Damn I feel good now!

4. As Bush keeps reminding all of us, things changed on 9/11 and |
|
the selling of the ports just doesn't pass the smell test for anyone in this country. Outsourcing almost all of the good jobs is a sore subject with most, and this stupid decision was just the last straw.

7. On the flight from Orlando |
|
I sat next to a yuppie type from Florida. Toward the end of the flight, I let fly with a wisecrack about Stupid. That let forth a torrent of anti Stupid sentiment from the next seat.
Honestly, if you validate any anti Stupid stuff, people suddenly become less afraid to speak out. Anything we do to make other folks braver is a good thing.

14. I'll say one thing for San Diego |
|
When I was in Crawford with the Sheehan protest, I swear I met more folks (especially women) from San Diego than any other place in the U.S. Shocked the hell outta me but I'll never forget it. Changed my perception of SD, that's for sure. What a wonderful group of women.

|
People dont realize that SD has many "brown" people too, and they tend to vote dem. Its the outlying areas of the county that are repug strongholds and like it was mentioned above, that base is turning on the boy king.

|
bush on bills. ones, fives, tens..... even found impeach bush on a 20, wink..... and more and more i am having people if not agree, not argue anyway. the mood has changed, even in this very red area. this week i went into our business and two bush voters dissed bush. my rw brother declared himself libertarian last week after three decades being a repug. i have stickers all over my car and las week a surburban driven bush sticker man was OVERLY nice to me. me with my peace sign necklace on windshield, in my peace sign shirt, lol lol. he was so overly nice, was like he was being so gentle with me, had me in giggles. they are feeling the shame. i dont hesitate to look em in the eye and say how dare you didnt stand up for me when your party said i wasnt christian, that i lacked moral value, that i dont have family value. how dare you. shame.

on one hand. The idiots around here are still proudly driving around with their */Cheney bumper stickers on their cars. Makes me :puke: every time I see them.
But I found a way to keep the neighbors at bay. I'm always wearing this "Homeland Security Advisory System" t-shirt that impeachdubya made for me. It mocks * like crazy and has impeachdubya.com emblazoned on the back. They don't like it so they keep their distance. LOL.

19. Fortunate DimSon always gets a handicap in the polls. |
|
From 2000 to present, they have always padded his poll numbers, thanks to big money and Turd Blossom pulling strings. Right after the 2004 Election, Turd Blossom was about to wet himself in glee over his "delicious fact" statement, because he knew the truth.

Edited on Fri Feb-24-06 09:53 PM by bushmeat
"The current prevalence estimate is that about 20 percent of the U.S. population are affected by mental disorders during a given year." http://www.surgeongeneral.gov/library/mentalhealth/chapter2/sec2_1.htmlI doubt Bush's poll numbers could ever drop below this figure
