Ann Coulter splits IU's crowd (Calls ushers Democrats)

Conservative author Ann Coulter drew a large crowd to the IU Auditorium Thursday night. More than 2,500 of the auditorium's 3,200 seats were full, but that number dwindled throughout her speech as many students were ejected for disruptions and others simply walked out after certain comments.

<snip>

The speech drew many dissenters and it didn't take long for public outbursts to occur. Within the first two minutes of her speech, one student yelled out to Coulter, "Go back to Germany," to which another student responded with obscenities. The two got involved in a heated altercation and four officers had to remove the students from the event.

But the police response to this initial incident didn't mean the rest of the speech would go uninterrupted. More than 10 times, Coulter stopped speaking -- sometimes for more than a few minutes -- to wait for protesters to be removed. She often commented that the ushers weren't doing their jobs properly and that the event was poorly organized.

"You are paying me to give a speech," she said. "I mean, if you don't want me to keep talking, that's fine, but I think I'll just do the speech. Hopefully, the idiot liberals will be out of here by the second half of the speech.

1. I agree with the IU sophomore who said
Coulter was just plain rude. I grew up in the Midwest, and you tolerate quite a few things, but rudeness is not one of them. The IU President thinking Coulter wasn't over the top was a joke. Coulter also spread her usual lies, but it was good to know that many students saw past that. I hope if she ever goes to my alma mater, the UI students treat her with the disdain she deserves, and merely either don't attend or walk out when she starts speaking.

3. Okay, did they have to pay to get in?
First thing, if they did, the lefties that attended boosted her morale.

If they didn't have to pay, it really would have shown that "it" couldn't fill the seats . . . 2500 attended in a 3200 seat auditorium? And quite a few were ejected "for being liberal" (oh, okay, for causing a scene - in other words, showing intelligence, and the hairy-knuckled ones started fighting and hurling obscenities . . . and that's just the Repuke femmes . . .)

5. let me point out what I think of "The Madam" Ms. Coulter
She became famous bashing the liberals for a long a time...many popular liberal blogger found themselves intrigued by her that they couldn't managed without blogging her, hence they made her popular within the liberals (many democrats after 9/11 bought her book)....so I think that a blame of her integration of celebrity on Fox News can be blamed on us..not to mention her side-kick Ms.crazed-looking Michelle.

I think we should be careful who we blogg...of course we need to consider who's dangerous,...but lets not give popularity of what a nut writes about liberals or progressives. In due, that is what they are counting on...a blast by the liberals and they will be covered on popular blog where many freeper lurks on.
