Reminds me of Eric Clapton, Unplugged. "Unhinged" could easily be referring to her. Perhaps a subversive in the book titling department?

45. Part of Roxanne's argument is that experienced operators
from the Contra War (in Nicaragua) were exported to the War on Terra, and specifically, those who were "adept in the tactical use of torture."

She's a great speaker.

26. Karl Fleming and Nick Kotz on Civil Rights Movement Reporting

Karl Fleming and Nick Kotz on Civil Rights Movement Reporting

Journalists Nick Kotz and Karl Fleming reported on the Civil Rights movement during the 1960s. Both men have written books about their experiences covering the movement and they spoke at the Los Angeles Public Library about those books. The men discuss their experiences in the segregated South in the 1960s and 70s. Karl Fleming, author of “Son of the Rough South: An Uncivil Memoir,” tells of being chased out of a Southern town by an angry mob, while Nick Kotz, author of “Judgment Days: Lyndon Baines Johnson, Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Laws That Changed America,” discusses the relationship between President Johnson and Martin Luther King, Jr. as it developed throughout the 1960s. Both writers talk about how their Southern upbringing allowed them to blend in with the bigots of the South, but did little to alleviate the dangers of the situations they covered.

Karl Fleming began his career as a court reporter for the Daily Times of Wilson, North Carolina, and later worked as a reporter for the Atlanta Constitution. He reported on the Civil Rights movement for Newsweek during the 1960s. He was photographed on May 17, 1966, after being beaten by rioters during the Watts riots in Los Angeles. Nick Kotz is the author of several books, all dealing with social justice and civil rights. He was the recipient of the Pulitzer Prize in 1968 for his reporting on unsanitary conditions in meatpacking plants.
