Remember how last summer the story was Dean was bad for fundraising?
Remember how last night they claimed the miners had been rescued?

http://feeds.dailykos.com/dailykos/index?m=2177

Update: From Brainwrap in the comments:

First six months of 2001: $23.7 million
Second six months of 2001: $16.6 million

Total: $40.3 million

For the record, according to the FEC, in 2003, the DNC raised a total of $43.8 million.

Therefore, under Dean's leadership, the DNC raised:

$51M / $43.8M = 16.4% more than in 2003

$51M / $40.3M = 26.6% more than in 2001, which is the more appropriate measurement.

Also, a point I've made before, and Tagaris makes, but I'll make it again -- Dean has been raising money for the states as he travels around the country. While chairs like McCauliffe would swoop in, raise money, and syphon it off to DC, Dean is letting the states keep the cash. He's helping rebuild the state parties. And those are dollars that are not reflected in the fundraising totals.

4. If Dean and Harry Truman had a love child
and that love child ran for the presidency . . . .

. . . . .oh where am I? how long was I gone? I'm still imagining our learning disabled press trying to keep up and the republican heads spinning every time said love child dropped the F Bomb or gave it to them straight up with out any lubrication.

I don't give a crap about foul language or inappropriate comments or any damn human thing a passionate human might do or say.

We need fire, not senatorial reserve. We need a decathlete, not a windsurfer. Set enough republican hair on fire and you will actually EARN the grudging admiration of the press, and the republicans will waste all their air time spluttering about how fucking OFFENDED they are instead of dealing with issues.

We need somebody who is somewhere between a power sprinter, prize fighter, a banderillero and a matador.
