FORT LEWIS, Wash. - Army officials have recommended a court-martial for a Purple Heart recipient accused of stabbing his young wife 71 times with knives and a meat cleaver. Spc. Brandon Bare, 19, of Wilkesboro, N.C., was charged with premeditated murder and indecent acts related to the mutilation of his wife's remains.

On Wednesday, Fort Lewis officials said post commander Lt. Gen. James Dubik agreed with an investigating officer and referred Bare's case to a general court-martial.

Bare remains held in the post's Regional Corrections Facility. No trial date has been set. If found guilty, he faces a maximum of life in prison. >

1. We are not prepared because * Cabal doesn't believe in
planning for soldiers coming back mentally wrecked.

Their excuse, "who could have forseen soldiers coming back and killing their spouses":sarcasm:

and to top it off if the soldiers aren't aware that their commander and chief got their buddies killed for greed.....it's going to get real bad!!

I hope each state is planning to take care of them....

but what the hell she's just a "Pretty white AmeriKKKan girl"...

This is first of all, a personal tragedy...even if she did have the temerity to be a "pretty white AmeriKKKan" (yeah, I'm SURE she was a KLAN member!) and I don't think that should be diminished because of some Ugly White boys' War.

4. Vietnam vets all over again
I can remember a Vietnam Vet friend throwing his mother to the ground and holding a knife to her throat before he was torn off her. He had a flashback.

Thanks, Bush. Another illegal war without reason.

7. is this something about which "General" Rumsfeld would say,
"shit happens"?. That is their attitude in denying those veterans the mental health help they all need on their return.

Last week my husband was invited to a dinner party for the son of one of his buddies who has just returned from two tours in iraq. (the family knowing my very STRONG feelings about Bush, the Iraq Occupation, and my conversation with their son before he left to go on his second tour to iraq, etc--decided not to invite me--which is fine. i would not have been able to control my comments in opposition to the whole thing). anyhow, when hubby told me about this dinner that he was going to, to "honor" !!!!! and "support" his friend's son, i wondered, "just how fucked up is this boy now? what sort of trouble will he be getting into? what sort of trouble can he cause for anyone now?"

I pray that the Iraq adventure in his life has not touched him in a PTSD sort of way. Only time will tell. (I also thought, to honor what? a young soul who was sent to occupy a country? whom no one knows how he really feels because all he speaks of is in support of bush, the iraq occupation, and the army's work there? )

as you see... they all knew i would have stood out like a sore thumb in the dinner party, and that i would have been there to honor no one. therefore, zero invite for me.
:woohoo:

13. The military is designed to make you crazy.
Crazy enough to kill people you don't know and pose no threat to you.
