Why do we all tolerate CNN and Larry King (the king of kink)./ |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-25-06 03:11 AM by Citrene
I miss Ted Turner and I hope he never sleeps at night.
Another juvenile molested by a teacher and next we have Goldie. I know it is late, I know its a rerun, but why?
I truly hate this man, is there any way to remove him?
"Goldie still sexy at 60".
Kill yourself, Larry.

But I share your pain. Larry King is the worst interviewer in the world that's not on Fox. He doesn't even listen to his guests, and consequently, fails to ask the most obvious follow-up questions.
He's a suck-up to his famous guests, and rude rude rude to his callers. He's a jerk.
And he never fails to offer a boffo movie review in exchange for whatever the studios offer.
And it gets on my nerves the way he constantly uses the word "read" as a noun.
"General, what's your read on the situation?"
"Ryan Seacrest, what's your read on the Middle East?"
"A Million Little Pieces" is one helluva read."
etc.

Wow. Not to hijack your thread, but I love Goldie. I had no idea she was 60 already, wow. Seems like she was 50 just 2 weeks ago. Time sure flies, rather scary.

Simple as that.
Teevee is optional.

the last inaugeration or was it the Press Club party?
No matter. They are now on our boycott list along with the rest of them.
Edit to add: Agreed. Larry King is so out of touch and boring to the nth degree. And panders to the point of total disgust.

but during Dobbs I saw an ad that Jon Stewart was going to be on King soon. I will watch that.
Larry does what he's paid for. He's a talk show, not a pundit or journalist. I've watched when political people are on his show and that is almost painful. I just skip him. But I watch if someone like Maher or Stewart are on.

in my mind she is still the YOUTHFUL CHARACTER of the LAUGH-IN's and of that, to me, most treasured movie, CACTUS FLOWER.
However, i do not watch CNN, LARRY KING, NOR ANY OF THE CRAPOLA ON WHAT PASSES FOR GOOD,BALANCED, INFORMED TELEVISION ANYMORE, so i did not see what she looks like these days and i can't even imagine it.
I recently discovered the ELOVE channel and i watch that when i watch t.v. I've fallen in love with movies like THE NOTEBOOK, MONA LISA SMILE, and so many others they have shown, the names of which i can't remember.

12. Here's a novel idea: Don't watch. |
|
CNN is a sewer that with each passing day becomes more like the truly hideous & evil Fox. Larry King is banal, boring, lowest common denominator and just plain bad. Talk about fawning. If his tongue was any further up his guests' asses it would dart out of their mouths. Why don't you just stop watching?

14. The only reason to watch CNN at all is Lou Dobbs, my fave paleocon |
|
Lou is fun to watch -- he is still virtually the only tv newscaster who reports on the gutting of the middle class. I disagree with some of his obsession with the illegal aliens from Mexico, but he is quite right that ports are borders too, and he has been nailing Congress and the WH's hides to the wall over the Dubai thing.
Other than Lou Dobbs, CNN is pretty much a wasteland. Wolf Blitzer is tedious, and Rita whatsername has a voice like a foghorn and inane subject matter. Anderson should quit patting himself on the back for his Katrina coverage and start telling the nation a whole lot more often about how the Gulf Coast has been virtually abandoned by the Bush administration.
Once in a blue moon (like maybe twice a year) Larry King will have someone on I truly want to see, but even then I have to hold my nose because he himself is so obnoxious.
I miss Aaron Brown. Does anyone know where he has gone? Is he okay and recovering from being summarily dumped by CNN?
Anyhow, I deal with CNN by mostly not watching any of their programs. I feel much the same about MSNBC -- the only one worth watching is Keith Olberman.
My most trusted name in news is PBS.

...when you can get the Guardian on-line, or Asia-Times, or other foreign sources where you can read what's really happening in the World? Why bother with the CNN crappola?...

LOL, That's a bit harsh.
I'm not a Larry King fan. I rarely ever watch him. I find his show, like many others shallow and idiotic. Usually it's pointless blather. Tabloid trash. Hollywood gossip. And like others have said, he's an awful interviewer. He often asks the strangest and most asenine questions.
But he really doesn't elicit the kind of reaction from me that the likes of O'Liely and Hannity do. Now those are some real scumbags.

Go into your channel line-up and take the little check-mark off of CNN and viola, no more CNN, no more Larry King. I did it over a year ago and haven't missed the channel or Larry for one single minute. It's funny how fast you get used to CNN being gone. I've also done that with Faux. These channels and their 'people' (read propaganda robots for the * cabal) no longer exist in my life. :) :) :)

19. I hardly ever turn it on, but I do like Jack Cafferty when I |

manage to catch him.
I also think Goldie Hawn is great. Private Benjamin is one of my favorite movies. Larry King is totally insipid though. I did enjoy watching his interview with Jimmy Carter.
I wish Ted Turner would start a real news station. He did it once, I don't see what would prevent him from doing it again. Just put in some safegaurds this time to prevent a hostile corporate takeover.

ago. I think she got bumped. I hope King re-shedules. He gave Bill Maher a place to be visible - every few months... after Maher got swiftboated (for making comedy out of tragedy - as oppsed to the WH who just used the tragedy for moving their narrow elite agenda along - while making terrorism grow).
