Does anyone have the photo of a soldier's coffin on a commercial flight?
Edited on Sat Feb-25-06 10:34 AM by SupplyConcerns
I just recieved a ridiculous piece of chain mail from a relative that fluffily says how some soldiers returning from Iraq got on a commercial flight, and everyone cheered them. Very touching an all (if it weren't for the constant patriotic clip art that was interspersed with the text, or the fact that it concludes by saying "something good will happen to you at 9:11 pm tonight" if you pass it on), but this person clearly hasn't heard of the fact that the army is using the cargo holds of commercial airliners to transport the dead bodies of US soldiers. Does anyone have that famous photo, from Newsweek, I believe? I'd like to forward it to my relative.

1. It was just posted on DU during the last two weeks
They were unloading a coffin from lower cargo compartment. I think it was in GD, but am not sure.

6. Soldier(s) on commercial flight-check. Probably cheered-check.
This is disgraceful and I do believe this soldier's family opposed the lack of military honor this suggests. :-(
