I have always like Gary Hart, and his public comments are always very sage and insightful. This is on SPAN 2 Book TV now, 11:05 EST.

he was 20% points ahead of Bush, Sr. in the polls when he dared the media into following him, and then went and spent a weekend on a boat with Donna Rice.

It breaks my heart to see him, and listen to him talk. He's smart, charismatic, and dammit, he should have been President! Had he won in '88 our world would be a much different place.
