1. Had to change the channel. Seemed like a lot of talk about Credit Card
Debt and starting small businesses.

Need more meat.

I did find it interesting; however, that the head of HUD was expected and didn't show up.
hhhmmm

Wonder if there is a message there?

2. Maybe a message there ~ but I'd still keep watching

Each year they try to focus on a variety of issues important to the Black Community.

I certainly want to hear Harry B. give his impressions of Bushco. That alone is worth my TIVO being in gear. :)

3. Credit Card Debt relates to everything -paying for food, healthcare, car,
place to live, paying to live between jobs... "Credit Card Debt" is now the catch-all phrase for the economy sucks and we can't keep our heads above water. Happening everywhere.

:kick:

4. I hope this doesn't offend you
I was just wondering if you are black. It was very relevant to me and I'm sure to a lot of other black people. Perhaps the afternoon session will capture your interest a little more. I think it's important for all Americans, and especially Democrats, to hear what black America is talking about.

6. I can't wait to see it on PST!

Each year it gets better and better.

As a African American I see it as a rare opportunity for our voices to be heard ~ the list of guests is always outstanding.

12. It was Assam. Where do I sign up for the covenant.
I heard more truth in that forum than I could of heard in years of watching main stream media. It gives me hope for the future of this country.

Thanks for your suggestion

5. The morning session was on the economics and determination of
succeeding - all related to Blacks and how they can go about it. It was excellent, including the credit part of it. However, there was an entire block of dialogue that was impossible to understand because people were arguing excitably and they talked over each other.

By the way - thanks C-Span - they even had Tavis appear on Friday morning with Bryan Lamb to preview it.

This afternoon - Belafonte - West and a bunch of others - first sessions - then a session with up and coming younger leaders.

Also, Tavis referred to some program they had last night - don't know if it was covered, but I gather it was one memorable evening.

I am not black but I care about every human being on this planet.

Human first and all the rest afterwords.

I do agree with the proposition, because of our country's history, that black people in this country have brought us Civil Rights as we know them. These are very important issues being discussed.

They are suppose to have a big announcement at 1 or 1:30 ET about the next election. Maybe the powers 'that be' will allow all black folk to vote next election. Who knows? It could happen.

GO CSPAN

If our democracy survises, CSPAN will be a major reason
