Why should we feel sorry for these miners and their families? |
|
They signed up for it! They voluntarily took the dangerous mining jobs! Right? :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm: :sarcasm:
The above is the sort of thing I've been told by fuckhead right-wingnuts when I expressed deep sorrow and worry for our troops and their families. Except, the wingnuts were serious--not sarcastic.

Right after Katrina my boss said, "What were they thinking living in a flood plain anyway?" As if everyone just chooses where to be born?

3. Yeah! A wingnut friend of mine said that, too! "They shouldn't have |
|
lived there!"
Fuck her!! I retorted that she "shouldn't have drunk so much that it caused her health problems". (She's an alcoholic.) I know that was mean, but I'm SICK TO DEATH of the attitude of wingnuts!!!
Besides, the people I know, whose house in New Orleans had 10 feet of water sloshing around in it for 2 weeks, were my friends, too!
Incredibly, Madame Wingnut and I are still friends. I guess we're both nuts. But I'M the kind of "nut" who has repudiated the repuke party--and anything even remotely connected with it--forever.
