Chasing Cheney in the Ambulance: DeadEye Dick's life support system
Lost amid all the heavy breathing by the mainstream press reporters who have gotten so worked up over the vice presidential shooting is the story of the vice-presidential ambulance.

How many of us knew that the country's vice president--a man that most politically aware citizens know is the country's real leader behind the scenes--is so health-impaired that he always travels with a fully staffed ambulance--including heart specialist--in tow?

This is the real secret, not the 14-hour reporting delay regarding Cheney's shooting of his hunting buddy, that has been kept from the American people not for hours but for years.

The fact that the nation's vice president and de-facto leader is so frail and so close to death's door, while perhaps heartening to some who see him as the architect of the war-mongering madness currently gripping the nation's policy-making establishment, should surely have been a major topic of conversation during the 2004 election.

But nobody mentioned it.

1. Every single paramedic I knew was talking about this in 2000
I had a fit during the campaign yelling at a Republican "NO HE HAD A HEART ATTACK!!! You don't go get a stint because you are in the fucking MOOD!!!"

I also think he had a massive stroke on 9/11. Take a look at before and after pics, and note the droopy side of his mouth.

Plus...that damned pacer he has isn't a "normal" pacer....when it goes off (next time he has a big one) it is like being kicked in the chest by a mule. It WILL be visible in public, I promise.

3. Well, if Cheney is so "frail"
and his heart is in such an advanced bad state - he certainly held up well after SHOOTING a friend an acquaintance, then having a cocktail and dinner (roast beef was it?).

I dunno -

6. Yep. Cheney is like Baron Harkonnen ... oozing corruption from every pore.
He's rotten to the core.

5. "Crash Cart" has traveled with the equivalent of a
mobile surgical hospital for years I thought this was
common knowledge.

He has had 4 heart attacks to date.
