Timely maneuver? Petition senate to resubmit the Clean Elections bill
crafted by Wellstone and Kerry.

This is the answer to the Abramoff scandal if Democrats are smart enough to get behind it.

A few states have already passed their version of the Clean Elections bill for their state elections - it would be much more difficult for lawmakers to ignore it again at this point.

What say DU?

Put me down for being a clean elections fan.

I do believe the Dems have gotten out ahead on this issue, and now is the time to press it while the Republicans are hemorrhaging.
