What do the Republicans think they'll accomplish

by giving all Abramoff donations they got to charity? They still took the money. Giving it away won't change that fact. What am I missing here?

It doesn't forgive any criminal activity, yet they'll be able to spew on and on about their wonderfulness on the Sunday talk shows, and get tax breaks for their "charitable contributions" to boot.
