Frist flip-flops; his "comfort level is good" & now supports UAE port deal
Did he view a video of a webcam of a faraway port and proclaim it "safe"?

====

LEXINGTON, Ky. - U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said Saturday night that after recent briefings, he is now comfortable with an Arab-owned company running port security for six American cities and backed off a pledge to pass legislation to stop the deal.

But Frist, a Tennessee Republican who was in Lexington for a state GOP dinner, told reporters that the next few days will be crucial for other members of Congress to press intelligence officials about the details of such an arrangement.

"My comfort level is good, but I have 99 other United States senators who need the opportunity to ask their questions," he said before speaking to 900 Kentucky Republicans at Lexington Center.

"We're behind the president 100 percent. We believe the decision in all likelihood is absolutely the right one," Frist added. Note: This simpering and kowtowing is getting more than repulsive.

1. Well I can't say that I'm surprised
Question is - will the public go along? Will their base? And will our Democratic leaders sit on their hands or fight?

I want to see this blow up in their fucking faces.

6. I expect nothing from this idiot...
I would have suprised if he actually stood for something. There doesn't seem to be a consequence to their actions. Either it is a good decision or it isn't. In all likelihood?:wtf: that's like saying "this rain storm is probably going to be wet but we sure that the streets will stay dry". Makes about as much sense as a mud window.

16. Quite a fine example how these folks operate if you ask me
The cult mentality, the thinking of no matter how much or great the sacrifice it's worth it in the long run. The religious part of the brain that is grounded in un-reality. The peons are led to believe god wants them to suffer and die while guys like Frist have their little pet hobby horses of beating back Union workers. It's all a very corrupt and disingenuous world we live in

17. Yea, no doubt about that one either
I am sure many, most or maybe even all them pubs are compromised like that or worse. All them them so called leaders in the congress don't get put there because they stand for something. It's more like they get there because they squirm into the job like a worm into a whole.
