We Could Take Over Government Monday Morning If We Wanted To |
|
One of the easiest things on the face of this earth for our elected Democrats to do would be to take back the reins of Government on monday morning.
All they would have to do is switch partys.
If every Democrat in the Congress stood up tomorrow morning and declaired himself, or herself, to have seen the blessed light, sworn off the cool aid, and now sees the world in a clearer light having become a full fledged Republican. What the Hell, Jeffords did something like it once, so have others.
We would regain control of the Congress and it would be our Party who had the sitting President. Wouldn't that make a difference?
What the hell? It ain't like Republicans these days are Republicans anyway.

3. That would be kinda like the German Social Democrats joining the Nazis |
|
and kicking out Hitler. Not likely to happen on the joining or the receiving ends.
On the other hand, I think it was General Patton who said that deNazification wasn't necessary after World War Two because German politics was "like the Republicans and Democrats".

6. They are needed to remain (D)s to maintain the illusion of democracy. |
|
Rather than acknowledging the one-party corporate oligarchy that acutually exists.

Who's this 'We? We as in DU? Or 'We' as in the idiots who represent the democratic party in DC?
'Cause the two 'We's' are a world apart.
We are the oppressed minority who can see the crooked road ahead. We are the few, the proud, the active Americans who are in this for the good of the country, not just what's good for our bank account.
We are the Underground.
They are the Royal Bush Family.

Let the party luminaries select the representatives. No messy primaries or even elections, be much more efficient then. :freak:
