ok, yes, I'm 46, and yes, I play halo on my computer to unwind once in a while.
on days when I'm really angry at this administration, I play with the profile "impeachbush".
I usually get a variety of reactions, all expected.

The other night, I picked a random game. Once there, I noticed someone named "Dubya" and someone named "GWB" I purposely did not say anything, because I just wanted to play.

a few minutes in, he types in "http://killaliberal.com".

now, I don't think this is a real address, but I find the sentiment disturbing. Didn't bother my playing any, as I whopped his butt, but good. He left, whimpering.

When I play, I figure if I can keep my death/kill ratio at 2/1 I've had a good game. That wouldn't reflect very well on us, so I often just use silly screen names I think up from time to time.

Fate has been cruel to me, however. When I was in high school and homework took like 5 minutes, ALL I DID was play Team Fortress Classic - on my 56k modem. My ping sucked, and therefore so did I, although I played religiously enough that I would've pwned on a cable modem or LAN.

Now that I'm in college and my apartment has T1, I have no time for PC games. It's so sad and cruel :cry: I used to have skills, I swear!

they have 3 or so tv's, gaming stuff, it is 'bring your own snack and soda' stuff, and they play 'Halo' until the wee hours----quietest bunch of teenaged guys that you can have around. Matter of fact, my son is just getting home carrying his TV from staying at his friend's house. I'm recovering from the flu, so I guess they thought they would have bothered me. (I'm not saying a word.)

I'm a fairly good player, and I can usually predict where people are heading, so when I kill them with a well placed nade or rocket or what have you, they accuse me of "printscreening". I have to tell them I'm on a mac, so that isn't even possible.

Especially when my team is outmatched, and I've just died for the 50th time just trying to get over the ridge past the tanks, and my whinybutt teammate camping out inside the base starts complaining why we're not getting the flag.
