Democrats should not hesitate to use the word "incompetence"...
From invading Iraq with not enough troops to do the job, to permitting the atrocious tortures at Abu Graib, to nominating Harriet Miers to Supreme Court, to the inaction with Hurricane Katrina, and now, the lack of knowledge that our ports had been sold to the United Arb Emirates, and so forth and so forth. Has there ever been a more incompetent Adminstration in our nation's history. Jimmy Carter was a genious compared to these people. And hte American people know it. The Democrats should say so.

2. Many don't hesitate.
I'm not sure if it came from Dr. Dean or Nancy Pelosi, but the entire meme has been "Culture of corruption, incompetence and cronyism."

I've heard it from a number of House Dems. Of course, I'm a C-Span junkie. I'm not sure if it's gotten any further into the public than that, as I don't watch much news on the teevee.

3. Democrats have had things handed to them on a silver platter but refused
to use it. Incompetence is the Hallmark of this Administration but when a Democrat is allowed to speak (usually Joe Leiberman or Joe Biden) they cuddle right up to Bush* and say me too, me too.

Dubai business crowd and is anxious to recognize the non militant, non fundamentalist side of Dubai and the Arab World in general. That's all fine and dandy and needs to be encouraged unless we want two more centuries of religious war.
I for one could not disagree with the port deal more heartily. No matter how well intended the deal makers are, the Dubai company can be used as a Trojan Horse on more than one level. It is not wise AT ALL. Jimmy to me, bless his soul, always hung his hat on the positive nature of humanity leaving himself that much more open to a Cheney shot.

10. "incompetence" is AGAINST bush but not FOR anything
i have no problem highlighting bush's total failure on everything his administration has touched ... Democrats shouldn't hesitate to use the word "incompetence" ... but anti-bush is NOT enough ... it's not enough politically and it's not enough morally or pragmatically either ...

the country needs real leadership ...

i'll tell you the one word that strikes fear in the heart of two many of our current Democrats in office: PEACE ... yeah, something's wrong there ...
