Mamie Van Doren blog
http://www.mamievandoren.com/weblog/

"As the third anniversary of the monstrous and illegal Iraq war approaches, those four words echo, you would hope, in the ears of the fools who led us with lies into it. So many of the things that sensible people said before the war have now come to pass. Weapons of mass destruction did not exist; Iraq has begun rapidly descending into a civil war that, once started, we will never be able to stop; and Iraq has now become the world's most valuable training grounds for anti-America terrorists. Oh, and the things that we were told, like the Iraqis would greet us as liberators, or that Iraqi oil revenues would provide the financing for the rebuilding of Iraq--lies that many of us recognized for what they were at the time... Well, we told you so."

Way to go Mamie!

1. Thx...
Some of her entrys are pretty good...surprise surprise...assuming it is her writing, she is quite the Progressive, read Gore Vidal and doesn't mind being 'political incorrect' either with blog headlines like "Pussy Power Strikes Again"

LOL

5. Van Doren was in a photo spread with Pamela Anderson in this
month's Vanity Fair in their special Oscars issue. She is quite astounding in her attributes and seems to be a left leaning liberal too boot. They don't make women like Van Doren in the red states. They get people like Mean Jean, or Libby Dole, or Katie B. Hutchison, or Kat Harris - but nothing comparable to Van Doren.

If anyone hasn't caught the March 2006 issue of Vanity Fair be sure and dig up a copy for James Waloctt's article, "Dressed to Kill" on King Chucklenuts penchant to dress up in faux military costumes and using the military for political statements and gains. The artilce even states that Military Code requires military personnel to show enthusiasm for the CIC so their support is even dictated to some degree. The article eviscerates him on all points - even has him dressed up like a third world dictator and points out that is exactly who he is emulating. It is unprecedented what this Moran-in-Chief is doing to use our soldiers and navy for photo-ops. It even went on to say that even that is no longer an option because many in the military aren't giving him the rousing hoo-rahs the Little Chimp so desperately needs so he will now be consigned to select groups of repugs to get his little ego boosts.

This article should be required reading for every voting American. Vanity Fair does not provide this article on line so you will have to head over to Barnes and Noble for a latte or to your local library for a quick read but it is worth the trip.

2. Go, Mamie. A not-so-dumb blonde.
Her movie roles usually portrayed her as the dumb blonde. She and Jayne Mansfield were up-and-coming during the Marilyn Monroe era. Seems she was smart enough to stay alive.

3. The amazing thing is, she was a lifelong Republican
Until President Clinton got into office. It's always nice when people can change. I think her blog is both very good and hugely entertaining.

4. Thanks, now I know how to get my dad on the internet
I had no idea that she was still alive. Really, I'm still in shock. My dad will go nuts. He'll also be glad to know her political leanings these days. A big thank you for posting this.
