Saudi Arabia Wins WTC Contract!
The New York Port Authority announced today that Binladen Group will receive the operation contract for the World Trade Center with its competitive and forward looking alternative to the current Freedom Tower project.

Not really.

But would those of you pro-DPW people support that too???

Same thing as the DPW contract, exactly, precisely the same.

1. Yup. But there are people here who will argue with you.
I'm not one of them.

2. Actually, a couple of inaccuracies...
First, the Bin Laden group doesn't do operations, they do construction, second, they are technically independent from the Government of Saudi Arabia, they aren't owned by them. More accurate way to say this would be, Bin Laden group wins contract to build the WTC replacement!

3. True, they aren't owned by a country
Which makes the DPW situation worse. And whether construction or operation, they'd still know WAY too much about a known terrorist target. But still, I suspect we're in basic agreement on the idiocy of it, either way.

4. Yeah, we are, to be honest I don't see why the US GOVERNMENT...
can't run it. I mean, seriously, if you want something as important as our ports be secure, the government is in the best position to deliever that security. I don't trust any private or foriegn interests with this, they have innate conflicts, either its the profit motive, or its their own national security.

6. No, your thinking of the Carlyle group...

7. Yes... and you know what their rational would be...
for supporting Binladen Group???

"It's just a business deal... besides, do you know any other contractor that is large enough and more organized to do this job?" (ala their rational for Halliburton no-bid contracts).
