Drug plan just one more con game run by Bush and Republicans |

I've read countless articles about how people are totally confused with the new, so-called drug plan and how there are dozens of different options they can choose from.
And there are always wingnut politicians and pundits telling them to get on a computer and do some research. Does your grandma own a computer? If so, she'd need a semester at Harvard to figure out the different plans. At that point, she'd learn the real reason the program was passed was for the further enrichment of the pharmaceutical and insurance companies, both of whom helped to write it.
And what about those who require drugs at an affordable price? Fuck 'em.
What I find astounding is that there are many who are ready to again vote for the thugs who screwed them. Well, maybe this shouldn't be so surprising. There are very few people who haven't been shafted one way or the other by Bush & Co. Yet they'll still vote for them. Maybe Kool-aid should be put on the list of prohibited drugs.

1. This whole drug plan just pisses me off........ |
|
One of my friends signed up for a plan (she's quite sick) and when January 1st came around..........couldn't get her many much-needed meds. She went without them since then. She was admitted to the hospital nearly two weeks ago and they aren't sure that she's going to make it. She's only in her early 40's........how criminal.

where I shop, who KNOW me, won't tell the price of any drug without an actual prescription to look at. I use the computer, not my Medicare-age husband, so I'm the one calling places. The company we chose asks for the S.S. number, etc., info before giving out BASIC information. I asked what would they tell me if I were calling for an incapacitated spouse. "You would have to prove power of attorney." JUST to get a GENERIC answer to how to read the FORM that one is sent after a medical transaction.
Plus, my husband's one doctor right away prescribed Nexium. Well! The cost is like $250 a month! There goes the deductible! So I DID use the computer, discovered Nexium is a pharmaceutical company SCAM, called the doctor and asked if OTC Prilosec was a good sub, and he agreed. Not TOO much money saved (*sarcasm*).
Doctors don't care; they prescribe the "name" pills just as much as patients see the ads on television.
