As you can see from the above story, Americans are paying twice for the same services (in this case, public transportation.) Once to the elitist benificiaries of Bush's ill-gotten gains, then again to actually keep services running.

We all know what happens to embezzlers (ideally). They are prosecuted, and they go to jail.

But we do not take white collar crime seriously nor do we prosecute it effectively in this country.
