Diebold back in Cali, and my letter to the fishwrap

When Secretary of State Shelley decertified Diebold for elections in California he did the correct thing. Now we find out they have been re certified for November? What is our current Secretary of State smoking? These machines have way too many problems, including back doors to the database that anybody savvy enough with a computer can access, from any wireless device.

Now I know why they want these machines... and all I can say is, for whom does the bell tolls? US Democracy that is for whom it tolls...

A concerned voter who will go to the booth to vote, but is not counting on that vote being counted the way it was cast. In the words of Joseph Stalin, it does not matter who votes, but who counts the votes...

3. Our present SOS is a Republican operative deliberately
appointed to do just what he is doing after Kevin Shelley was forced to resign. We really should be taking to the streets with this one.

Actually, we have lost our democracy here in California. The governor and SOS, we the people elected, have been replaced by Republican appointees, who took advantage of weaknesses in our system.

I did not vote for Arnold in the real election that elected Grey Davis to his second term. I really never considered the recall election a legal election and no one voted for this SOS. He was appointed.
