4. Nobody had to ask Newt to step down
He knew he was burnt toast after presiding over the '98 impeachment fiasco and subsequent GOP mid-term losses. Gingrich knows the drill, but does DeLay "get it"? If he decides to stick around, he'll be the ultimate corrupt poster child at the expense of his party.
