3. Tweety on Ronn Owens this morning |
|
Chris was on the Ronn Owens radio program this morning between 9am and 10am. This program is archived at the www.kgoam810.com archives site.
He described himself as politically more moderate/liberal than Rudy Giuliani, who is himself a moderate republican (pro gay rights, pro choice, etc).
I'm sure some of you will hoot and howl that Tweety is *obviously* a RW shill but there it is.
I'll say this much about him. He, like most of us, is driven first by profession and then by politics. So if the topic concerns democratic candidates for office or things about the democrats in office today, he's probably going to be coming down on them pretty hard. That's because they need to be thwacked a bit. Its not Tweety's fault that the democrats we have in office are an incoherent bunch hell bent on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
I think much too much is made of the Tweety-as-RW-shill. I'm sure there are instances of objectionable questioning/followups/reporting by him, just as there is of all of the news talking heads. I just don't see him as consistently so.

4. True professionals are not clueless |
|
Tweety has this annoying habit dissemanting falsehoods.
During the anti-CAFTA demonstrations last year, for example, he painted opoposition to "free trade' as a bunch of leftover hippies.
Only problem with that is that these were residents of Latin America who had nothing to do with the American "hippie" movement.
If he were a professional he'd at least do his homework before spouting off.
