What To Watch On Cable TV.............

18 Months ago I had Comcast come and disconnect my Cable because ....

1....The Balance was getting to high and it was certian they were going to disconect it anyhow.

and

2....I was getting frustrated that Kerry's campaign speeches were not getting covered in full or interupruted during critisiscm of bush....I nearly threw a hammer at the box....

Well....Mr Cable Man is going to visit tommorow as I recently took care of the remaining $$ balance(which my way of protesting the bias cable programming)and my wife wants her FOOD NETWORK back.

Anyhow I am out of the loop as to what to watch as in the past 18 months I have grown a good foundation as a progressive liberal....Anyhow........What are some DU reccomendations?????

Thanks

1. Boondocks, Adult Swim, Cartoon Network
That's the best thing I know of to come out in the last few months.

Sunday nights, 11:00 EST with repeats later in the week.

2. Battlestar Galactica on SciFi
It is a very deep and complicated scifi/political drama. It shows themes about a society in deep crisis, espically the most recent episode. They only have two episodes left this season before repeats until July.

It is on SciFi on Fridays at 10pm ET/9pm CT.

Star Gates - SGI because of them bringing Ben Browder (Farscape) on board and Atlantis because the bad guys are really bad - kinda like the borg. I've missed too much of Battlestar to feel comfortable about watching it.

10. This is the all encompassing list
Obviously, the daily show, colbert report, and keith olbermann.

In addition, if you have the station current, which is probably only on digital cable, check it out. aimed towards young people, but they have short mini-documentaries all day, and the shows are often viewer created, which is refreshing. typically, political documentaries lean to the left, but since they are often viewer created, that's not always the case. it's always really interesting though. i think it's channel 228 in minneapolis.

11. that damn Gore tv channel bumped my only news; ITV, BBC, CBC
Deutsch Welle, etc were all on one TV news channel on Comcast. It was far away from the usual cable news channels, but I always went to it. Then Al Gore had to go and have an idea. So I have no fucking idea what is on TV news now. I am boycotting.

There are a million cooking shows, however. We get that info- front, back, and sideways.

17. Unfortunately, no one watched it when it was NWI. That's why it was for
sale at a bargain basement price. Gore and Joel Hyatt wanted to create a successful network. I think they are way ahead of everyone else.
