FREEPS crying like babies over Chimpy's 34% job approval (CBS poll)

Oh my, those dumb-asses over there at the Freak Show are blaming everyone and everything for Chimpy's horrible, crashing plummet to the bottom of the Earth (34% job approval, down 8 points from last month!- CBS poll) I can hear their whining and caterwauling all the way over here in New Jersey!

Maybe those guys should have a nice falafel and a beer and try to look on the bright side: oh, wait a minute- there is none.

A uniter, not a divider. He united republicans and democrats against him. Amazing!

Still has a way to go to Harry Truman's 29%.
And history looks kindly at Harry.

Truman made some decisions that made him unpopular.

He saved Europe from communism with the Marshall Plan.

Is Bush's plan for the middle east any less radical?

He literally couldn't give a rat's a** about polls.
He should.

If he sinks the GOP in the 2006 elections, he will have an impeachment on his hands. A Dem House WILL impeach him for something, and the MSM will intone how serious and grave the allegations are.

He will then be distracted by impeachment proceedings (and a trial that would be unsuccessful) for much of 2007, distracted from the rest of the world's events.

The President's low popularity is a serious problem, even if Freepers cavalierly dismiss it. He doesn't have the political stroke right now do do anything against Iran, for example. To the extent they become a more severe danger, he can't muster support if his polls are in the low to mid 30s.

He better turn this around and fast.

CBS News Poll: Bush Ratings At All-Time Low

No matter how hard CBS or any other poll taker tries to make Bush seem unpopular, he's still going to be president.

But, even I, would urge him to resign when his poll number get into at least the minus 20s.

Yep, he'll probably not stand a chance at re-election.
Child, it means if the Dems nominate someone like Warner he WILL be the next president. The party of an unpopular president WILL lose the next election. Ask Truman and Nixon.

History is a harsh mistress. I for one don't expect (mostly liberal/leftist) historians to look back at the Bush years as a wonderful, exciting time.

They give grudging respect to Reagan because his results are difficult to argue with. Bush's results may be easier to argue against if he leaves the Mid East a mess and he limps out of office as an unpopular and ineffective president.

Anybody expecting historians to take a shine to Dubya hasn't been paying attention.

Bingo. Better to overestimate the importance of this poll than dismiss it. He's taking flak for the ports deal and it was bound to reflect in some poll. The only saving our asses is that the democrats are clowns. That may not last forever.

2. When it comes to Harry Truman
I admit for the sake of argument that perhaps his plan and Bush's are/were equally radical (not really, but just for fun let's say they are).

So what's the difference? Truman's plan WORKED.

The reason why they'd release such a poll is because the board of directors has become fed up with Bush, and they want a new big business man servant who isn't so incompetent and damaging to their cause of corporate consolidation.

The corporate world is starting to turn against him because they want somebody better when it comes to power and control.

LYING TO START A WAR IN WHICH THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS SUFFERED AND STILL DO?

What the hell did he succed at?

He gave us the first megadeficit, be violated the law as expressly passed by Congress to stop his policies in Central America, He traded weapons with dictators unders under the table, he threw amazing numbers of Americans out on the street, and left far more struggling, he lied about the state of the Soviet Union as an excuse to keep pumping money needlessly into the Pentagon.

And in doing all of this he was a $@#%& puppet to Bush I and the various neo-con criminals.

I don't think Reagan's results are at all difficult to argue, you friggin Morons!

Personally I think this poll is a bit of a blip, but long term trend is that Bush loses 1% of the electorate a month.

We'll be seeing Dubya poll under 30% before the year is out.

The base blew up after Schiavo....
Miers finished it, and it's a done deal.

I plan to pick up the pieces later....We lose the presidency and the Senate, but barely hang on to the House.

Frankly, from what I've seen the past few days, we don't deserve to run this country anyway. We can't even get a trade deal through that was done according to rules set up by congress.

The Republican are deserting the president in time of war, like it does not matter.

I plan to show them that it does matter. It matters a great deal.
