34% job approval? Free Republic is bigger than I thought. |

Seriously, I'll never understand that last third. They are either anti-American (or at least the America from 1776 to 2000) or they've no grasp whatsoever of reality.

The you are down to people who are afraid that if Gays can marry, they won't be able to avoid the temptation of barnyards they've been suppressing.

2. "No grasp whatsoever of reality." |

Would be my vote. I spent yesterday with my wife's father, stepmother, sister and bil. Kool Aid drinkers all of them. Kept going on and on about how the port deal was nothing and just the standard GOP talking points bullshit. These people are very smart otherwise, it's just that they for some reason cannot grasp the reality of what is going on. Is it some kind of defense mechanism? Or just denial? On the other hand, my wife's mother and stepfather, solid, upper middle class Reagan Republicans, absolutely and utterly despise Bush and what he is doing to America.

We lib'ruls are going to force everyone into a gay marriage whether they swing that way or not, then force them to have abortions when they get pregnant (don't ask me, I don't understand the logic of that part myself), and not allow them to go to church, pray or interpret their buy-bulls according to Rubbers-on, Limpballs, Foulwell, o'Lielly, et al.* At least, that's as close as what I've been able to make out :silly:
*Absolutly no disrespect intended to Christians here on DU. It's the neo-christians who twist and interpret the bible out of context to suit their own hate-filled, xenophobic agenda with whom I have 'issues'. :grr:
