John Negroponte, the National Intelligence Director, is one of the witnesses at a hearing on current and future worldwide threats to national security. Sen. John Warner (R-VA) chairs this open hearing of the Senate Armed Services Cmte. A closed session follows immediately afterwards

Levin is saying that we need to tell the Iraqis that our presence is not a given, if they cannot begin to work together.

We are not there indefinitely and how long we stay should be Dependant on how the Iraqi leadership acts to work together.

6. I was very happy to hear Levin say that! In other words, hold off
on transfer until the 45-day review is done. Now whether they will is another question...
