You can Protest in front of churches - can't block access to them
I'm beyond sad that B*'s America has come to this

I saw this suggestion in another thread "Can we blockade Churches?"

People protested in front of churches in Boston during the pedophile priest scandal - can't block access to them

Tell me again Lieberman why voting yes on cloture was a good thing???(On Alito)

Or ANY of the other mealy mouthed dems that did

Why???

2. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.
Why should people be allowed to block access to churches, or anything else?

Protesting can be done without violating other people's rights to free association.

10 and 11 and the responses to them

I realize people can protest

I saw people protesting here in Boston during the pedophile Catholic Church scandal

Cops won't let you "blockade" but you can protest

10. They Must Have Really Wide Doors
The church by my house doesn't have wide enough doors for that. You'd ruin the whole building. Wait! Now there's an idea. . .

5. It's not like church protests
represent the same quandry as a picket line, with church members loathe to cross.

I think this is a fair decision. Picket all you want, but don't stop me from getting there. If we were allowed to picket anywhere and block entrance from daily business, whether stores, schools, mosques, etc, we'd disrupt, and peaceful protest should protest not disrupt.

6. Breaking news: Sun rises in the East
Will set in the West.

You could always protest in front of churches. It's that little-known and obscure federal law we like to call the First Amendment.

As a side note, Alito did not partake in this decision. It was unanimous and written by Breyer.
