Bush: Ports deal not a security threat

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush said on Tuesday he stood by his view that a deal to allow a Dubai-based company to run terminals at some U.S. ports did not pose a security threat.

"My position hasn't changed to my message to the Congress," Bush said as another day of hearings into the contested takeover bid were scheduled on Capitol Hill.

"If there was any doubt in my mind or people in my administration's minds that our ports would be less secure or the American people in danger, this deal wouldn't go forward," Bush said.

You've gone on record as stating you won't support the legally elected Hamas government, because they do not recognize Israel, and want to bomb it. Yet the United Arab Emirates also do not recognize Israel, and support blockage of shipments to/from Israel.

This seems very hypocritical. How can you differentiate between the two, especially when you've stated we would send out the wrong message to hold an Arab company to a different standard than a British one in the U.S. ports deal.

What's the difference, other than it serves your PERSONAL purposes, and not the best interest of the country? We know your Daddy's company, The Carlyle Group stands to make a fortune off of this deal. Isn't that a conflict of interest on your part?

8. Stupid doesn't enter in to it. He just doesn't care and prolly didn't know

until the excrement hit the ventilating device. He just goes out when he is told to and says what they write down for him. So long as his lifestyle remains comfy, he doesn't care much about anything.

When they force him into more public appearances ('public' being a carefully vetted, hand picked group) than he thinks he should have to do, we see the facade crack. The good ol boy image slips and we glimpse the spoiled, surly child that he really is.

If his rich handlers are happy with something, he is for it. Otherwise, he doesn't have any capacity for care about anything but his own comfort. It is the philosophy of an infant, not a world leader.

9. Since he doesn't have to worry about running for office again

and pleasing people who may vote for him, he figures that he can just go ahead and give everything away to his business partners and cronies. He's is so far off the deep end with all of that "end-times" religion crap that he doesn't think anything will matter much in the next few years, after the rapture.

I think that he's really just some sick sociopathic loser that doesn't give a damn about anything anymore.
