Tweety is beside himself, can't understand why the American
people don't like Bush anymore.

Tweety says he has never had a problem with this president.

Newsweek pollster & Margaret Colson says the numbers show the American people don't like him anymore.

Poor Poor Tweety --- I have never had a problem with this president.

28. Dear Mr. Matthews . . .
Just in case you haven't gotten a grip on just why it is that Americans "suddenly" don't like W, let me spell it out for you.

1. President's Daily Briefing 8/6/01 - "Bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside US"

2. "The Pet Goat"

3. The amazing miracle hydrogen car - gee, what happened?

4. The mission to Mars - gee, what happened, Part II.

5. Aid to HIV/AIDS victims in Africa, which now depends on whether or not aid agencies counsel abstinence, a.k.a. gee, what
happened, Part III.

6. "We need to counter the shockwave of the evildoers by having individual rate cuts accelerated and by thinking about tax rebates" - George W. Bush, using 3,000 dead Americans as an excuse for even more and deeper tax cuts, 4 October, 2001.

7. Hiring a 20-something campaign worker who lied on his job application to work at NASA and muzzle James Hansen and other leading
climate scientists.

8. Another day, another speech, another hand-picked crowd, another repetition of the same 9 Freedom Phrases.

9. "Conservation may be a sign of personal virtue, but it is not a sufficient basis for a sound, comprehensive energy policy." -
Dick Cheney

10. Sneering at hybrid cars in Michigan in 2000, along with the Governor and thousands of auto workers, and then pathetically
promoting fuel efficiency, biofuels and conservation six years later.

I could go on like this for a few hours. Apparently, you couldn't even spend a few minutes' worth of thought on this not-so-vexing question.

Whatever.

Dear Tweety,

Your 6-years' mancrush on Shrub has always been misguided, particularly when you project it upon the American people as a whole. He barely scraped by with one stolen election and arguably two. Yet you find in this some resounding sign of popularity. You have tried comparing him to CHURCHILL and God knows who else, where there are NO positive comparisons to be had. You have pined to "have a beer" with a known chemical abuser. You have gloried like a little girl over his calling your tie "preppy". You have mooned over various bulges in his costumes. You have said his Democratic opponents lost because common people didn't think THEY would stop to help them change a flat tire, when if it is ANYBODY who would shoot the bird out the limo window at the flat tire it would be Shrub.

Notice that all of the things you have found to praise him with are of the personal attraction variety---nothing of the substantive. This is a person who dismissed previous studies on threats to national security, who did NOTHING to prevent them for the first eight months, who ran for three days when it happened, who did nothing but act like a cheerleader standing on bodies, who then proceeded to launch a FAKE war of CHOICE, most probably for family cartel reasons, who has since giggled pathologically while the death toll for his decisions is in the hundred of thousands.

There is nothing CUTE about him, and your insignificant persona will be dumped on his on the ash heap of history as one of hundreds of media enablers for his criminality.

48. My favorite was that stupid flat tire analogy
Edited on Tue Feb-28-06 09:56 PM by indie_voter
For some inane reason, a poll was taken a couple years ago (before the 2004 election) who people thought would stop if one had a flat tire, Dimson or Kerry. More people said Dimson.

First of all, the man is a sociopath, he wouldn't stop, he would probably laugh as he sped by.

Margaret Carlson continued on to tell us that the problem was Dimson wouldn't know how to change the tire. True, but that doesn't change the fact he wouldn't stop. Katrina showed us he could care less about the common man and their problems.

Ahhh, the level of discourse Tweety and his pals engage in.

It was worth it though to watch him sputter when faced with Dimson's poor poll numbers.
