Please remember my dad for his trip
Hi all,
My dad is going later today down to Mississippi with a group from our church to help clean up from hurricane Katrina. I've heard some scary stories coming from down there, so please keep my dad and the group in your thoughts/prayers while he's down there. I believe they return either Sunday or Monday. Thanks.

1. Will do. The best of luck to him.
He's a great person for doing this. I wish him well with happy stories to share with you upon his return.

5. I hope he has a good trip and takes care of himself.
Have you posted this on the hurricane survivors group here? http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=360
Perhaps he will meet up with other DUers. Remind him to take his vitamins and brush his teeth each night and thank him for helping out.

6. I don't know if my dad takes vitamins
 I've never seen him do that. I dunno what their deal is and where exactly they'll be but they're working with a local church down there who we've teamed up with before in the beginning. He'll be taking his cell phone with him of course and my Mom and I each have it in our phone's. :)

Best wishes to your Dad and may his trip
be safe. I'm sure he'll have much work to do and many stories to tell you when he returns.

Let us know how his trip went when he gets back!

:hi:

9. Thanks all
:hi: They're only staying a few days so that's good they're not going to over do themselves. :) I'm glad my dad is getting to go, he seems excited about the trip. :) Nice way to begin the new year. And hey, my mom, brother and I get the house for the weekend. :D

10. Blessings and light to your father and his companions.
As the song goes, "Just call on me, brother, when you need a hand. We all need somebody to lean on."

Thank you to your father and his church group for being there for those who need it most.
