5. If it is a bipartisan scandal, |
|
should it not be treated as such? Who shows the most integrity? The party that can't publicly deal with this sort of problem, or the party who will?

The media is playing this as a Bi-partisan scandal and soon I predict they'll make Brian Dorgan a D the poster boy for this scandal. Typical MSM move these days even though we all know it's a 90% rethug scandal.

that doesn't change it at the core. Of course, there are corrupt dems. But the scandal is primarily rethug, without question.

6. Dems need to aggressively speak out and NOW before this |
|
gets more firmly entrenched. I don't understand what their strategy is. If they are still embracing the give-them-enough-rope-and-they'll-hang-themselves plan, this is not the time to do it. They need to hammer and hammer away. Loudly. Every chance they get.

8. I think they're playing wait and see.. |
|
They might be worried about some of their more powerful figures getting too deeply wrapped up in this and if they go out and talk about it they cut off their effectiveness by getting the press to target their roles in this.

Yes, Ney is certainly congressman No. 1, but we have no other indictments or resignations.
This is classic campaigning creating impressions before the facts are revealled. A

10. Most People Don't Even Know Who Abramoff is |
|
Andy Warhol must be laughing in his grave. Except for the die-hards reading the blogs, no one had ever heard of Abramoff or really has had enough time to digest what the hell is going on here...so how can anyone draw any conclusions? It's like predicting the final score in the top of the first inning.
Typical Chuck Tool spin...wishing yet another scandal away.
