Fitzmas... That makes the left blogs look like a bunch of fucking idiots.

It would be funny if this were a GAME. But it's not.

I don't want Fitzmas, I want some fucking JUSTICE.

16. It needs to be said a lot more.
The more we come up with cute little gimmick names, the more it looks like a partisan investigation, or a joke. It makes us look like god damned fools.

42. Agreed.
The idea of Fitzmas is stupid. Equating prosecution of the administration with a gift-giving holiday seems silly to me.

I don't even like people calling Fitzgerald "Fitz."

President Bush likes to give people stupid nicknames too.

19. well, you must be an idealist...and if you recall, it was one of the
most reknown left blogs that created the Fitzmas name and got quite popular, so are you calling that blog a bunch of F idiots? and if I dared to think this whole thing as a game, I wouldn't be reading DU in the first place, or following the news so closely, or bothering posting among tons of other things I wouldn't be doing if I thought this whole thing was just a game.

And as for Justice...It is taking too long and being too costly to be happening. JUSTICE Is WAY OVER DUE and if history is any indication, true justice might never arrive...look at all the crooks that have gotten away with so much in the past...And YES, Justice is way overdue.

20. Yeah. The person that thought up Fitzmas is an idiot.
I don't care how popular his blog is.

When independants and righ-wing whackos hear "fitzmas" they think "partisan witch-hunt".

It makes the issue appear as one big joke to the average person that doesn't follow this stuff 24/7.

My father, a lifelong democrat, heard "Fitzmas" and rolled his eyes at it...

Oooo someone rolled their eyes! :eyes: Big deal. Who gives a damn. If you don't like it DON'T USE IT! And anyone who says it's a "witch hunt" needs to learn what the case is about and what type of prosecutor Fitzgerald is and you and others who come across it can educate them. Stop whining like a baby.

31. The year that was for Patrick Fitzgerald
Edited on Thu Jan-05-06 01:52 PM by JulieRB
I just pulled this one up at Yahoo News. He's been very, very busy.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/cdh/20051228/lo_cdh/corruptionchargespowershiftsoneusattorney

>Whether the U.S. attorney was in Washington indicting Vice President Cheney's aide Scooter Libby, shot-gunning subpoenas through Gov. Rod Blagojevich's administration, stopping in to watch former Gov. George Ryan's corruption trial or shaking Chicago City Hall to the rafters with accusations of widespread hiring fraud under Mayor Richard M. Daley, his presence was felt.<

This is, of course, in addition to his other job, Special Prosecutor for the CIA leak case.

I can wait. I don't like waiting, but it will be so much sweeter when it finally happens. It will happen.

wiretapped. Although if he's been wiretapped by any of the usual suspects, that would also bring the NSA wiretapping mess within his purview, wouldn't it, because that could fall under the heading of interfering with an investigation? Boy, that sounds like something BushCo would do. And the hits just keep on coming...
