My letter to Senator Feingold, feel free to use it if you want. |
|
Dear Senator Feingold;
In view of the fact that President Bush has admitted to breaking the law concerning warrantless wiretaps 30 times per his address on national television, and by extension has violated his oath of office 30 times, I feel that the Senate should not consider his nominee to the Supreme Court until an investigation is made into his conduct. It's ludicrous that an admitted criminal should be allowed to appoint someone to the Supreme Court, the highest court in our land. Not only that, in the last few days he has made 17 recess appointments which should be put on hold until he is investigated. It is incumbent upon the congress to either hold open, televised hearings into the matter or appoint an independent prosecutor to investigate before any more action is taken about Judge Alito.
Sincerely, Shari Milks

I hadn't thought of it in these terms, but what you say makes a lot of sense.
