The government is openly and shamelessly spying on us |
|
They mine our data, eavesdrop on our phone calls, can search our homes without even telling us they were there let alone needing a warrant, The President can declare any of us an "enemy combatant" at his discretion and maintains the right to order us killed, they remove citizens from their homes and deny them due process, billions go missing in Iraq and billions more go to the VP's former company which he still has stock in or to the Carlyle Group which lines Bush family pockets, they created intelligence agencies to state the lies they wanted to justify invading a non-threatening country because the actual agencies kept reporting the truth, they spied on other countries at the U.N., condone torture, operate extralegal internment camps, and many many more outrageous, flagrant violations, known and unknown of The Constitution and liberties that used to be the basis for this country's greatness.
Is it any wonder that some here consider them capable of just about anything? 5 years ago if any of us predicted any of this we'd be considered tin-foil hat loonies then but now we are just up on current events.
Wear the tin-foil proudly DU. Sometimes things are even worse than you can imagine. Speculation and questioning is good. If it wasn't for people willing to believe in conspiracies existing then how much of what is happening would we really know about? We can't fight them unless we can imagine what they are capable of.:patriot:

I'm sure that they have done more that we have not even heard of yet.

4. Wait wait wait wait wait. |

You say:
Speculation and questioning is good.
And then you say:
If it wasn't for people willing to believe in conspiracies existing then how much of what is happening would we really know about?
These are two way different things, and the confusion of the two is what conspiracy "theorists" are criticized for.
