1. Congratulations to you, Omaha Steve!
You were the one who started this great idea! And to Ben Burch for doing a fine job on the mission statement. I've already checked it out, now I'll have to donate again (it's been a while) so I can get a star and contribute to the discussions. Again, thanks to Steve, Ben and everyone else to start this important and timely discussion forum for a true Democratic principle.

3. We are trying to ....
get a union back at the University of Central Florida. It is a very long and involved story and I am sorry to say but apathy on the part of our business agent from AFSCME contributed to the local's demise. I should know I am still considered 'president'. I paid dues to AFSCME for 10 years and even served on the state's executive board. I am very depressed over this situation. I believe in organized labor and come from a family of union activists; my father's father was a member of the Operating Engineers, my mother's father was a member of the Printers Union, her uncle was the Secretary-Treasurer of the carpenters union and her mother was one of the founding members of CWA (I have all her awards for membership). We have a lot of problems here at UCF that we need help with. Anyone who has any suggestions they will be appreciated.
