"I couldn't sleep last night. I heard about Sharon's condition on the news right before I went to bed. That was it for me. I just could not get settled down. I felt such an urgency to be awake and waiting. I'm kind of like the rest of you, I don't know what to expect as far as prophecy on this one. Will it slow things down or speed things up? I guess it depends on if someone else, like Netanyahu, takes over. There are a lot of variables that will affect what happens.

Fundamentalists are very selfish. It's all about them. I'm convinced that they use being "saved" as a way to feel superior to others, because most of 'em frankly have very little going on that would make a person feel good about themselves. Get saved and it's instant self-esteem! And you don't have to do anything for it, like work hard or improve your own behavior.

about a year ago someone posted another hilarious thread from Rapture Ready and I thought it was so good for laffs that I'd keep going. After one or two I wasn't laughing so much, there is a really high proportion of people there who are not just deluded fundies but clearly in need of mental help, it was actually pretty sad.
