I almost agree with this item:
Elite, mega-rich have lost faith in conservative/fascist project (at least this attempt)
But I think its more like the Mega-Rich have ridden that horse as far and as hard as they can and are now shifting the tables the other way to exploit profits in yet another, as of yet, unknown way. Be afraid, be very afraid.

2. This is a very "sexy".... |
|
scandal. I don't mean "sexy" in the literal sense, I mean because it involves a lot of high profile people (Delay, Hastert), VIPs, expensive trips, the mafia and may even involve the murder of Gus Boulis. The whole thing frankly reads like something out of a Danielle Steel novel.

3. Katrina. Ever since Katrina, the bloom has really been off the Bush turd- |
|
blossom.
Even many of those who have drunk deeply of the kool-aid can't help but see the horrible incompetence and lack of humanity, whether they admit it to themselves or not.
And Cindy Sheehan started the ball rolling with respect to Iraq just before that, but Katrina was the thing.

10. 2 votes for Katrina and Sheehan is totally given too much credit on DU |
|
The public already turned sour on Iraq.
Richard Clarke got the ball rolling, IMO

13. Clarke, 9/11 Commission, Abu Ghraib, Fahrenheit 9/11 all looked like |
|
rocks thrown in a pond that had their ripples die down, but they softened the beachhead for Schiavo, Katrina, and most importantly Cindy Sheehan.

4. An interesting article today in the NYT... |
|
...makes the case for horrible second terms as a byproduct of the eventual "firing" of the President. The writer further went on to postulate that term limits - proposed and rammed through by the GOP after Roosevelt shut the door on them four times - was never the intent of the founding fathers and the only reason George Washington didn't run for a third term was because he was "bone tired."

5. The media has done their job, and gotten Bush reelected therefore |
|
assuring those on the receiving end of money and favors and power that they will be taken care of for the next four years. Also, Bush has reached a point of being a lame duck and they are about done with him and his usefulness.

7. Mega rich power elite are cutting and running. |
|
And they are leaving Bush holding the shredding machine.
Know what? Bush will destroy every bit of evidence, including the bits that would demonstrate that he was just a puppet. Even if he realizes how he is being set up to take all the blame, his pride wont allow him to point the finger of blame at his masters, because looking weak is his greatest fear.

9. "Bush won't point finger because he fears looking weak..." |
|
That is almost epic poetic justice.
But we should seek the prosecution of the puppet masters anyway.

8. I voted for the over reaching, but... |
|
...the media is still carrying water.
They're not pushing the policies so much, but since his approval ratings are dropping faster than jenna's panties at a college cocaine party, they have to start setting the stage for the "people really LIKE this president" line of B.S. again.
Has anybody else noticed the puff pieces about him and his family lately? my biggeat vomit moment was a GMA report on jenna & barbara's boyfriends that ended with moron hugging his 2 coke tramps and saying "They're STILL daddy's litle girls!"
This was a few days after Christmas. Charlie was being replaced by a 30 something Ken doll who didn't know weather to kiss bush's or walmart's ass more. Fortunately for him he has 2 lips.
YUCK!
