Wait a minute...Is it correct for Gen. Pace to comment on Murtha?
Isn't the chain of command such that Pace works for us and therefore for Murtha?
Correct me if I am wrong but since when is that acceptable?
Shouldn't Pace say "no comment"?
BTW: Now the Iraq policy apologists are concerned that Murtha's comments are somehow damaging morale and recruitment?
Nice try at deflection, but it won't work on a lot of us.
Here is Murtha's response to Pace, with which I whole-heartedly agree as the
TRUE reason for the drop in recruitment and morale:
Democratic U.S. Rep. John Murtha said the military is suffering from what he calls "the administration's constantly changing, undefined, open-ended military mission in Iraq."
~snip~
In a statement released by Murtha, the decorated Marine veteran responded that the real damage to recruitment comes from prolonged deployments, inadequate equipment, and the "lack of any connection between Iraq and the brutal attacks of 9/11."http://www.news4jax.com/news/5875280/detail.html
