Pace yesterday quoted Murtha as saying US Troops not well trained

I cannot find any quoted remark of Murtha's that in any way comes close to this. Anyone know what he's referring to?

1. Murtha said last night in the town meeting

that troops that were trained as truck drivers were ordered to be security people, etc. He did say that there were areas that they couldn't recruit for too, so soldiers trained for other things had to do those jobs.

Murtha was in the first half of that town meeting with Moran yesterday. I might be in the C-SPAN archives by now?

Can't think of any other statement from Murtha that I have heard that sounds anything like that.

3. If that's what he's referring to, talk about twisting words around

to make it sound like Murtha is slamming the troops themselves-Pace taking it personally.

I don't think that Murtha spoke badly about the troops or the military at all. He spoke the truth as he knows it, and a lot of the info is coming from inside the military, from the generals or the soldiers at the hospital.
