Just saw an MSNBC report on the "controversy" on this new show...
They interviewed one fundy type woman who stated (and I'm trying to get the exact quote - didn't Tivo this)...
"The Jesus portrayed by this show will not be the Jesus of the bible. He will be the anti-christ. A tolerant Jesus..."
Well turn my other cheek! Glad to hear that Jesus was an intolerant unforgiving rat bastard.

1. Jesus was intolerant of some things. |
|
For example, he made a whip and beat people with it in one instance.
Remember the moneychangers and the temple story?

2. Yup... my feeling is that Jesus, if he were alive today, |
|
would be intolerant of the fundies, our "money changers" (greedy corporate bastards), asshole TV pundits and preachers who use his name to bilk their "faithful", war mongers, etc, etc. Or to use the pretzeldents term "his base".
